Light or Heavy
For this method, feel into the energy of the situation and then ask questions. For example, let's say you're wondering if you should promo stack with your Bookbub. You ask the question, should I promo stack? If it feels light and fluffy, it's a yes. If it feels heavy and dull, it's a no.
Muscle Testing
This method works well for yes or no questions. Make a ring between the thumb and pinkie of your non-dominant hand and then try to break the ring with the index finger of your dominant hand. If the ring holds strong, it's a yes; if it breaks, it's a no. This is only semi-reliable for me, but I think that's because sometimes the answer isn't a clear yes or no, it's more complicated than that. You may have to drill down and ask many yes or no questions to get clear.
Weigh Two Options
This only works with two options. Imagine you're holding one option in each hand and feel the energy in them. Which one feels brighter or bigger? For example, letâs say youâre choosing between two book covers. Hold your hands out like theyâre balancing scales and imagine one cover in your right hand and the other in your left. Which one tips the scale?
Look into the Future. Ask this question and either feel for the answer or freewrite/ journal the answer: "What would my life look like in six months (or one year, five years, etc) if I chose this?" FEEL or WRITE the answer. Then ask "What would my life look in ___ time if I didn't choose it?" and FEEL or WRITE the answer.
Pendulum
This is similar to muscle testing, but you can use it to pick between multiple options. I buy pendulums at the gem and mineral show in Tucson for three dollars, but if you don't want to buy one, you can use a nut or washer tied onto a piece of dental floss. it doesn't have to be fancy or a gemstone. You show the pendulum the different options as angles of the swing. For example, "Should I spend 10, 20, 30, 40 on this Facebook ad, or something different?" Each option is a different angle away from you. Then I close my eyes, so watching it won't influence the way it swings, set it off in a circle and wait until it settles into a swing. Then I open my eyes to see which direction it took.
I used that this morning to pick which air conditioner repairman to call. Once, when I bought property in Taos and had to get insurance, I pendulumed for which company to use. When a local asked me who I went with and I told them, they said, "Oh they're the best, how did you know that?" (Ancient Chinese secret. Wink.)
